We're on the lookout for a Data Analyst to join our commercial team to help in transforming the UK & Ireland retail data into clear, actionable insights that drive commercial performance and execution excellence.
Acting as a bridge between data team and sales execution, the role ensures strong governance of commercial admin across the channel, visibility of promotional plans, distribution charts, shelf pricing and can support NAMs to track performance against JBPs and forecast.
What you will be doing:
Data Management, Mapping & Analysis:
Map, manage and maintain multiple internal and external data sources including sell-in, sell-out, share, EPOS, pricing and stock-on-hand data.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency and governance across systems and databases, maintaining and updating internal and external datasets.
Mine large datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities, developing hypotheses and clear narratives on what the data is telling us.
Performance Reporting & Dashboard:
Work with the data team to ensure that we have the correct performance reporting for the channel team including EPOS insights & reports
Design, build, implement and maintain dashboards for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are intuitive, relevant and insight led.
Deliver tangible, actionable outcomes from reporting, clearly linking insights to recommended actions.
Retailer Scorecards & JBP Governance:
Build and maintain monthly retailer scorecards to track performance, compliance and execution.
Provide governance updates on Joint Business Plan (JBP) alignment, tracking performance against agreed initiatives, targets and ranging.
EPOS & Promotional Performance Analysis:
Manage retailer EPOS data to ensure timely and accurate availability for analysis and reporting.
Review pre- and post-promotional performance, evaluating effectiveness, ROI and execution quality.
Share actionable insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement in promotional planning and delivery.
Distribution, Pricing & Compliance:
Track and report distribution at SKU and store level to ensure distribution plans are delivered.
Monitor pricing at shelf versus RRP and promotional pricing, benchmarking against competitors & sharing to Category for insights
Conduct pricing audits across internal and external systems to ensure accuracy and compliance. / Set up of Pricing reports
Support Sales with dashboards from insights platform tracking overall compliance and performance.
NPD, Forecasting & Product Lifecycle Support:
Support Strategic Account Managers with NPD listings by creating new line forms, updating product codes in the forecast, PEF & promo guideline tools, tracking launch execution and post-launch evaluations.
Manage product run-in and run-out plans, using stock-in-warehouse and stock-in-customer data to ensure smooth transitions and minimise residual stock.
Support Demand Planning and NAMs with forecasting insights and maintenance of product code databases.
Stock, Availability & In-store Execution:
Analyse retailer stock-on-hand and availability reports to track on-shelf availability and identify risks, improve in-store stock levels, availability and overall store compliance.
Provide monthly store visit report & competitor insights
Sales & Commercial Support:
Act as a key analytical partner to Channel Lead and Strategic Account teams, providing insight, dashboards and ad-hoc analysis to support decision making.
Set up POs for the sales team in Cofax & track invoices that come into the organization on excel following the correct process to ensure minimal UPs with the NAMs
Support manual administrative tasks for key strategic accounts where required, ensuring smooth operational execution.
What skills and experiences you’ll need to ace this job:
Experience in a data-led, analytical or commercial insights role.
Prior experience working with retail, EPOS or FMCG data.
Experience building dashboards and performance reporting tools.
High level of data literacy, with the ability to manage, analyse and interpret complex datasets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to tailor outputs to internal and external audiences.
Strong Excel skills & ability to interpret data
